【Features】
Bright yellow to orange-yellow cap with a sweet, apricot-like fragrance. Firm flesh; aroma and umami intensify when sauteed. Known as “Girolle” in Europe, Yunnan-grown specimens are also recognized for their high quality.
【Growing Environment】
Forms clusters on the forest floor of coniferous and broadleaf trees at elevations of 1500 – 3000 m.
Harvest season: summer to autumn (July – September).
【Distribution】
Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guizhou provinces, China.
【Nutritional Value】
Low in fat, high in protein, vitamin D, potassium, and dietary fiber. Expected benefits include antioxidant effects, immune support, and bone health maintenance.
【Storage】
• Fresh: Refrigerate at 0–4°C, use within a few days
• Dried: Store in a cool, dark place
