【Features】
This mushroom has a dark brown, coarse, scaly cap with spiny gills underneath (typical of the Hydnellum family). When cooked, it releases a strong, unique aroma and deep umami flavor, earning it the title “King of Mushroom Aroma.” Yunnan-grown Xiangrong is particularly prized for its intense fragrance and is considered a high-end delicacy in Japan.
【Growing Environment】
Grows on the ground in coniferous forests (spruce, fir, larch) at altitudes of 1,500 – 3,000 m. Harvested during the summer?autumn rainy season (July?September).

Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guizhou provinces, China.
